Nothing is wrong with store brand- it's a great go-to when you are out of something and don't see a good deal anywhere else. But with couponing, you can get name brand for less on a good sale and with your coupons. I got Nestle chocolate chips this week for $.99 thanks to a great sale ($1.99 at Tamuras) and a $1 off coupon.
Club price: This is something to pay attention to. When you see a 2/$5 (or 2 for $5), sometimes the Club price on the tag shows that for just one item it is $2.50 as you would expect, other times it's a higher price. Walgreen's is the worst at this, but that's for another post.
Does anyone get the printed ads anywhere? I went to the store on a Thursday (ad came out on Weds) and they were gone. Midweek doesn't print them anymore. There are some bonus in-ad coupons, but the only way to get those is with the ad. Tues or Weds newspaper?
